WINDOWS E-MAIL SETUP

The following directions will work with all Windows operating systems. However, this is only one way to do the e-mail set-up, as there are normally three ways to do everything in Windows. If you are using a setup Wizard, all of the information that you would put in is here.

Open up your Outlook Express and click on Tools, then select (click) Accounts. Select (click) the Mail tab and then click Add.

This activates the e-mail account setup wizard. Select Mail and click Next.

Type your display name the way you would like it to appear. Examples: John Smith, or John & Betty, The smith’s, etc. Click Next.

This brings you to the e-mail address window. Type the e-mail address that has been issued to you by customer service. This is typically in the format of username@aabol.com. Click Next.

This brings you to the E-mail Server Names screen. The Incoming mail server is a POP3 server. In the Incoming mail server window put mail.aabol.com and notice that it is all lower case letters. DO NOT USE CAPS! Then tab down to the Outgoing mail server window and type in smtp.aabol.com then click Next.

This brings you to the Internet Mail Logon window. Put the entire e-mail address in the Account name window and your password in the Password window. We recommend that you check the Remember password box. DO NOT check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA). Click Next and then click Finish.

This will get your e-mail operational but there are some enhancements that we can help you make. Give our customer service a call at 619-478-9701.
